Celtic Bull Boxes and Trays
Wooden boxes have a Celtic bull design on the lid and my “horns knot” on the side. A useful and decorative place to keep all sorts of little things tidy and together. The tray has a bull with standing stones in the background. An attractive addition to any home, a gift for the Taurean - or just the bullish amongst us!
Animals in Celtic mythology were a symbol of fertility and vitality. The bull was a symbol of power and wealth. The prosperity of the people depended on the strength of their herds. The bull as leader of the cattle symbolised the fertility of the clans. Each item has the design burned into the wood then several glazes of colour applied. A coat of acrylic lacquer is applied to enhance and protect.
Each photograph is of an individual item for sale.
